Mist

Mist changes what stands out in a scene. Light spreads, distance shortens, edges soften, and places that usually feel familiar begin to feel less settled. That is part of what makes it so rewarding to photograph. Streets, trees, shorelines, and night scenes all take on a different weight once the air thickens and part of the view falls away. This gallery is built around those shifts in mood and visibility. Sometimes the result is calm, sometimes eerie, sometimes simply quiet. Sometimes photography is just a good excuse to walk into the mist late at night.
