Steel Wool

Steel wool photography sits somewhere between planning and chaos. The frame can be prepared, the location chosen, and the exposure set, but once the sparks begin, the image starts reacting to movement, space, and timing in a way that is never completely predictable. This gallery is built around that brief burst of energy: rings of light, falling sparks, and ordinary places changed for a few seconds by what passes through them. What makes it work is not only the fire, but the way the surroundings catch and contain it.
